About

This website was created by leading NGOs to track legislative and judicial developments in the rapidly evolving field of corporate accountability.

This hub of information from around the world is intended to inspire bolder action from governments to address companies’ devastating impact on individuals and communities. We need laws that require corporations to respect human rights and the environment globally and ensure that where they fail to prevent abuses from occurring, victims have access to justice.

In today’s globalised world, we can no longer ignore the role of corporations in severe human rights abuses, such as exploitative working conditions in garment factories, or extensive environmental damage through mining activities. Corporations need to exercise greater responsibility and be accountable for their decisions and activities. Embedding this into law offers a solution.

This is a joint initiative of the European Coalition for Corporate Justice, Public Eye, the Corporate Justice Coalition, Above Ground and the International Corporate Accountability Roundtable.
